TILE

Tile

The options for tiles can be endless. Let's explore the most commonly used tiles available, but do not be limited by this selection. Be comforted to know that within each tile is a subtype with multiple options and styles as well. No matter the preference there is a tile design for you.

Things to Consider:

Texture

Think about texture for more high traffic moisture heavy areas to reduce chances of slipping.

Location
Bathrooms and kitchens with high water exposure? May need to consider extra layers of waterproofing in the flooring. Maybe larger tiles for minimal risk of water finding the weak areas between tiles.

Maintenance

Some tiles are more porous than others or have more hidden niches that moisture, dirt, or mold can get into creating issues. Be sure to keep up with cleaning, sealing, and refinishing throughout the years to make sure your stone stays healthy, clean and durable through time.

Affordability

Some tiles such as natural stone, glass, or anything customized are more complex when manufactured. Others like ceramic or porcelain are pretty straight forward making it more affordable.
